Below are a list of FAQs if you can't find the one that you need to know then drop us an email at grvp@georgetown.edu

Question 1: Who are we?
Answer 1: The GRVP is a group of scientists who seek a better insight into the potential of individuals to learn in optimal and challenging circumstances across the life span.

Question 2: What does belonging to GRVP database entail?
Answer 2: By joining GRVP you agree that you can be contacted by GRVP for any available studies. You are free to decline to participate in any or all studies. You are also free to request your name or the names of your family members to be removed from the GRVP list at any time.

Question 3: Will my name be given/sold to any third party?
Answer 3: Absolutely not. Your information will only be available to the members of GRVP and the staff of a particular study in which you have agreed to participate. All participant information is confidential.

Question 4: I joined GRVP quite some time ago, but still have not been contacted for any studies?
Answer 4: Please bear in mind that our web site lists current studies, and you can directly contact any given lab. Often, studies need a limited number of participants, but there is a good chance that someone withdraws from a project for one reason or another. If you are particularly interested in a study, we would advise you to contact GRVP or a certain lab directly. Click Contact Us to contact GRVP or follow the links to the lab of your choice.

Question 5: What are the age limits?
Answer 5: We have studies for all ages. We have specifically designed the site to search by age group. Refer to Studies link for relevant studies.

Question 6: Will I be reimbursed?
Answer 6: ParticipantsÂ’ compensation depends on each study. Please refer to the project summaries or call the GRVP at (202) 687-6473 for more information.

Question 7: How can I obtain more information about a specific research project?
Answer 7: Please see project summaries and refer to direct contact information provided. For general questions, e-mail GRVP@georgetown.edu.

Question 8: What if I do not have transportation to the research site?
Answer 8: We welcome all those in the DC Metro Area. We try to make the studies as convenient as possible. Some studies will compensate for transportation costs while others can occur at your home, community center, or childcare center.

Answer 9: Please refer to contact information provided for a specific study.
